I went back to Zeche Zollverein today. More precisely, I went to the Ruhrmuseum to visit the exhibition Mustafas Traum (Mustafa's dream). It contains Henning Christoph's images about Turkish life in Germany between 1977 and 1989. It is a very interesting insight into a time that has been very pivotal in my wife's parents and grandparents lives. As such it informs their history, which is now also part of my life. As I am documenting this family today, any context I can gather is most valuable to me.
