It's a proper wildlife refuge around here! Turns out, the pigeons aren't the only ones raising their offspring right outside our window. Two days ago we spotted three tiny squirrels on the tree in our backyard. (As opposed to the front yard, where the pigeons live.) We see the grown-up squirrels every day, jumping from the tree onto our roof – then we can hear them running across to jump down to the tree on the other side. We never realized they had one of their nests in that tree – see the last three photos (which are the same, just ever more cropped-in.) All photos from today.
