Family trip to the to the swimming pool this morning, to practice. For Lumi it's just a question of courage at this point. She actually knows how to swim, but still wants me to hold her – although I am pretending most of the time. 🤫 She reminds me so much of myself at this age: All my friends could swim before me. I hated to get my head under water and I think I was twelve, when I first started diving. Now I love being in the water, even got a diving license. I figure it will take one or two more visits until she's ready to admit to herself that she can swim. 🙂 (I love watching this process btw, very similar to when she learned to ride a bike. I am just there to assist, while she basically figures it out herself.)

Oh, I remember that I would not open my eyes under water, no sir. And one day, on vacation, there was some swimming pool game, where you had to dive up a frisbee or something like that - and I was *shocked*, frisbee in hand, that I apparently just had my eyes open under water *without even thinking about it before* 😂. However, I still don’t like opening my eyes under water in swimming pools, my eyes hurt the whole day afterwards.
