Went back to the same spot as yesterday to photograph the herons. What can I say: I am really happy I did that this morning. Being by myself, watching those birds. Talk about relaxing. 😌 And it turns out 200 (well technically 300) mm is enough, after all!
The herons are up in the tree tops, completely out of reach from any human, just doing their thing. They are currently building their nests, so they fly down to different trees, break off thin branches and carry them up to the nests again.
One thing I haven't done in quite a while is shooting in burst mode. I usually do not like working this way, because it means there are so many images to go through! But with fast moving subjects like that, there's not really a way around it, I guess.
I'll share the images over several days, because there are a lot that I like. I might even go back tomorrow to shoot some more.
