Really second guessing myself with these photos recently. What is the point? I need to find time to make more photographs. I have often talked about intentionality, but recently it has been mostly just capturing anything that looks vaguely interesting and hoping that I at least have something at the end of the day. That is not why I created this blog. So I guess, I'll either manage to carve out more time for taking photographs or I'll drag something out of the archive that I am proud of. (I am not quitting the blog!) Looking very much forward to travelling at the end of next week. This will make this some much easier. Can't wait!

some days it goes like that. The point is practice, in my opinion. Trying to get something even when there's very little or nothing. And some days you're going to be busy, or nothing looks good or right, but practice is always worth doing. Just that most people don't put all their practice sessions that weren't the best, online for everyone to see! 😄

Heh, true that. I guess I need to reframe my thinking a little bit. Although the point is to go out and make photos, the reality of _life_ is just that it is not possible every day to put in a meaningful effort – so still finding something to post despite that, should count for something. 🤷‍♂️ 😊

I'm under no illusion that many of mine are samey, because when I'm busy I try to make time to go out and get SOMETHING. Hoping that there's something a little different about the same places, or a different view on something I've seen tonnes of times. Even a re-framing of something to improve it, or just to try. I do feel like the standard of my pictures is improving on average. And it means that when I have time to go out and make big effort, I'm sharper than I would have been.

but I also fully get that sometimes it just feels futile. Even if you know, or tell yourself, things are worth doing; it doesn't always _feel_ that way. All I can say is I like seeing your pictures every day, and I think when you look back, you'll be glad you kept going.And you being a few days ahead of me is a big motivator so please don't stop! 😄

I enjoy seeing even the most mundane photos you both post. But I get it, I also struggle when I can't leave Mataró and feel like I’ve already photographed every corner of the town. Ultimately, I think it doesn't really matter what you photograph: the act of "trying to see" is a good exercise in itself.
